Frequently asked questions
I speak English: is this course for me?
Yes. Explanations, instructions and feedback are in English; examples and exam material stay in French, as on the day of the TCF Canada. You learn the method in your language and practise in the language of the exam.
Why take the TCF Canada if I already speak English?
In Express Entry, strong French (NCLC 7 in all four skills) earns up to 50 additional points in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), and gives access to the draws reserved for French speakers, often with lower cut-off scores. Always check the current rules on the IRCC website.
How do I pay for the course?
Choose a plan: the price is shown in US dollars, at today's exchange rate. Pay with PayPal, or with a money transfer service (WorldRemit, Sendwave, Remitly…) to our Mobile Money account. Then enter your payment reference: we verify it and send your access code by email within 24 hours.
How long does access last?
The Standard plan gives access to the course for 6 months, the Pro plan for 6 months. You can extend at any time from your account.
What is the difference between Standard and Pro?
Standard ($19) includes the 7 modules, the assessments, the personalised schedule and 2 mock exam(s). Pro ($37) adds in-depth feedback on your writing and speaking, a personalised report and unlimited mock exams.
Can I follow the course on my phone?
Yes. The site works on phones, tablets and computers. Your access code can be used on two devices at a time, and your progress follows you from one to the other.
Are the mock exams like the real TCF Canada?
They follow the official format: 39 listening questions in 35 minutes, 39 reading questions in 60 minutes, in increasing difficulty, then the three writing and speaking tasks. Each audio document can be played only once.
How long is my TCF Canada result valid?
TCF Canada results are accepted by IRCC for two years. Always check the current requirements on the IRCC website.
